If I am not mistaken, this question seems to be specific to one incident and/or one particular game. It is for this reason that The Guru believes that you should, as hinted in the last answer, pay particular attention to the Rules and Terms and Conditions of the game that you are playing. If there is no mention of suit ranking, your best bet could be to contact the customer service dept. of the software provider. Remember, different software providers may have different Game Rules for the same game. Lastly, you can always try unfamiliar games in Fun Mode if you want to be sure of what you are walking into.
